Why Tradespeople and Fleets Remap Their Vans
Most vans leave the factory with a conservative engine map designed to suit every market, fuel quality and driver. A custom remap adjusts fuelling, boost and torque delivery to suit how your van is actually used. On diesel engines, a Stage 1 remap typically adds 20 to 30% more power and 20 to 25% more torque.
- Stronger low-down torque for pulling away loaded or on a hill
- Less gear changing and smoother progress with a full payload
- Easier, more relaxed towing of trailers, plant and equipment
- Fuel economy often 10 to 15% better on diesels driven sensibly
- Less strain on the engine, as it works less hard to do the same job
- Fully reversible, with your original software kept on file
Towing and Loaded Performance
Vans spend much of their life heavy. Ladders on the roof, tools and stock in the back, a trailer on the hitch. That is where the extra torque from a remap helps most. Your van pulls more cleanly from low revs, so you are not revving hard or dropping gears on every incline or roundabout.
We set the map up for real working conditions rather than headline figures. The goal is usable, smooth power that makes a long day of driving easier on you and the van.

Minimal Downtime, Done Where Your Van Is
Our service is fully mobile with no travel charge. We come to your yard, depot, job site or home, so your van can be remapped while you get on with work. Typical jobs take 60 to 90 minutes, and a Stage 1 remap usually takes one to two hours. Same-day or next-day slots are often available.
We cover Cambridge and the surrounding area, including Ely, Huntingdon, St Neots, St Ives, Newmarket and Peterborough. If it suits you better, you can bring the van to our Milton workshop, just off the A14. For fleets, we can work through several vans in one visit.
AdBlue, EGR and DPF Solutions for Vans
Modern Euro 6 vans often suffer from emissions system faults that put them off the road. Failed AdBlue pumps, NOx sensors, blocked DPFs and sticking EGR valves are common, and dealer repairs can run into four figures. AdBlue countdown warnings are especially serious, because at zero the van will not restart.
We offer ECU software solutions for AdBlue (usually £250 to £299 depending on the van), DPF (£180) and EGR (£180). Add a DPF or EGR solution to a Stage 1 remap for £40 extra, or £290 as a combo. These solutions are typically sold for off-road, export or motorsport use in many markets, so please be aware of MOT and emissions rules. We will talk you through this honestly before any work.

How a Van Remap Works
First we carry out a free diagnostic check to make sure the van is healthy. We then read and back up the original ECU software using Alientech KESS3 or Autotuner tools. Your custom map is written for that specific van and loaded back in. Finally, we check for faults and take it for a test drive with you if you like.
Remapping is legal in the UK, but you must tell your insurer. Every remap is covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee.
